So I've always claimed I would end up blog-ing one day, and today is that day. First of all for those that don't know me, I'm Danny Buzanko and I play in a band called the Overplayers. With me are James Richards (by far one of the best drummers and singers I have met) and my brother Matty (Bootsy Collins half black brother). The Overplayers have been around for at least 4 years and we have had a ton of fun playing a variety of show and meeting a bunch of great people along the way, but enough about that jazz.
On March 6th 2009, we are playing at The St. George Arms in Caledonia. Odds are it will be our last show for a bit. James and I are taking some time to write and record/re-record some new/old songs. It's been a lot of fun and I'm excited to see what the end result is. One song that should end up on our album is a song called 'Two Steps', I think we have recorded it at least five times trying to get it right. James and I have even recorded a quick take of it at 'Steve The Pirate's'. Steve is our 'Roadie Extraordinaire' and all around nice guy. We've also took a couple kicks at the can recording some covers. My personal favorite is a heavy rock version of Alfie Smith's 'Lonely One'.
Any who, I hope you are all staying warm today, right now its -14 without wind-chill. Hopefully the summer will be here soon.
